No color in Print Preview in Excel

By charris ·
Excel won't display color in the print preview even though it'll still print in color and the default printer is color. Running windows XP with SP3. Any ideas?

A few things to try.....

Have you tried:
Print Preview, Setup, Sheet, and look for the Black & White setting. You should also check you printers properties if that doesn't work.

1. Select the cell range where the value is to
be entered.
2. After typing the value, press Control+Enter.

Print Preview displays your page exactly as it will be printed and is only displayed in colour if you have a colour printer.

The worksheet name and page number will appear by default, although it is very easy to change the header and footer ??

You can display Print Preview either by pressing the button on the standard toolbar or by selecting (File > Print Preview). You should always preview you print,

Copy the contents of the sheet into a new excel document, does this work in colour now?.

Please post back if you have any more problems or questions.
