no communication bet win2k and winme

i jus set up a small lan consisting of 10 machines and naturally i put them in a workgroup.Half of them operate on win2k pro and the rest on winme.when i try to access the win2k machines i get a login massage with the id as
%comp name%/ipc$ .How do i solve this prob?
