    No Internet Connection

    by geee beee ·

Hi, my OS Ubuntu 21.10 two weeks ago, internet connection disappeared while watching a utube clip, along with the internet connection icon in the top right corner of my laptop screen also completely vanished, but in my wifi settings it indicates the laptop is connected with a good connection. I’ve tried hot spotting via tethering with a USB C to C cable and also a USB dongle with a wifi areal and still no internet. All my other four Andriod devices work as they should with the same wifi service. It’ll be greatfull with help to troubleshoot this weird issue, so as to get the internet back in place. Thanks Geee2Beee

I boot the live distro of a few Linux USB sticks to see if it’s hardware or software.

If it’s just your installed Ubuntu, head to their forums on how to repair networking. I will be out of date on the software or OS here so get to their forums if other live USB distros are fine.

      Step 1: Press Windows Key + R.
Step 2: Once the Run window appears, type ‘cmd’ and press Ctrl + Shift + Enter to run the command prompt as administrator.
Step 3: Type ‘netcfg-d’ in the command prompt. Advertisement
Step 4: Restart the system to apply changes.

      Try this.
