This is my first time here and my first post. I need direction. I have a PMP, but my experience has been primarily in marketing communication projects. I have no IT experience at all. I was laid off three weeks ago and I’m seeing all of the PM positions are in the IT arena. I’m considering taking an IS/IT Project Management course from Villanova. Would that give me a basic understanding of IT projects? I know how to manage a project, just don’t know how PM methodologies transfer to the IT world. Any suggestions would be appreciated.? Thanks so much.
