No Login Win2000

By richgp ·
I have a Win2000 user that wants to set it up so it doesn't require logon or password. Unusual, but true. I tried to remove the users from the system b ut it won't let me remove Guest as a user. Checking the box on the dialog to not require users tologon to use the system did not work. It still required a logon and password for Guest. Likewise on the Administrator account.

Go to MS - Q253370 - How to Enable Automatic Logon in Windows 2000.
I hope it will help you.

Can you explain how to go to MS - Q253370? I tried searches and cannot find it. Should I go to the Microsoft site?

Windows 2000 can be setup to automatically login as a single user. The password is saved and bypasses the need to login. You do not have to play with the other accounts.

I tried checking the box that causes it to bypass the password check and it didn't help. Do I need to reboot? Is there some other dependency?
I tried removing Guest as a user and it gave me an error saying it could not do that. I was logged in as Administrator.
