    No mouse or keboard to click with!!

    installed a new G card. Nvidia 9600 9un installed old driver, fitted card then booted pc as per requirments.

    at reboot (XP Sp2)found new hardware window pops as expected but PC has not enabled mouse or KB. Mouse can normally move at blue welcome window, even though it shows power via usb it will not move at that stage. have also connected a PS2 mouse and KB. but still not working.. so always frozen at found new hardware.. kb short cuts to windows mp and email still work but no std keys do??

      You will need to connect the PS/2 keyboard for this. Right when connected (please switch off computer when connecting the keyboard). The mouse should be ok, if not connect the PS/2 mouse also just in case. Now what you need to do is to go into “safe mode”, boot-up your computer and press the “F8” key on the keyboard, when in go to the “add and remove” section and delete the Nvidia software and the old graphic card software, then re-boot. When all is ok and the computer is up and running go to the Nvidia website:
      http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
      And download the up to date software for your graphic card,, then install it and follow the on screen instructions. Up date all of your programs including your mouse software (if possible). Hope this works for you.
