no pictures in Outlook 2000 email

By VCahall ·
When I receive HTML-formatted messages in Outlook 2000, the images show up as the classic "Red X" from IE, indicating the picture could not be downloaded.

I checked the "show pictures" setting in IE 5.5, and don't know of any such setting in Outlook.

Any ideas?

There is 2 possible reasons:
The pictures is in the internet server and Outlook download them when you start read your email(if you haven't internet connection in this momment the images will not be dispalyed).

2.Your images isn't attached from the sender.

Please check this oportunites and if you still have problems let me know
