Several years ago, I recommended SBS4.5 as a cost effective solution for our small company- I’ve been paying for that error ever since. The latest snag is that I need to add PPTP protocol on the server, and it doesn’t exist on the CDs! The installation program insists that it can’t find the files, then requests the CD labelled WinNT 4.0 Server, which also doesn’t exist in the CD set. Somewhere around the house I have several evaluation copies of Win NT 4.0, and I have available a copy of WinNT Workstation – can I install the PPTP .dlls from these safely? My concern is that the Workstation version may not support the server functions of PPTP, or that the Evaluation edition may corrupt my SBS4.5 system into a time limited edition. Any suggestions?
