Question

Locked

No Taskbar Buttons are Visible

By alertt ·
For some unknown reason all taskbar buttons has disappeared from my taskbar in Windows XP SP2! Such thing happened once before, however system restore fixed that situation. Now this doesn?t help. When programs are loaded the taskbar is empty and I can switch between applications using Alt+Tab only! How to fix this? Can you help me, please!

Fixing Taskbar Buttons

Hi there,

1. You can use the following freeware prog.:

http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/taskbarplus!.htm

2. To fix manually:
- in registry create under following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

DWORD parameter NoToolbarsOnTaskbar
- set it ?1?
- restart ? all bars on the taskbar will be cleared
- change the NoToolbarsOnTaskbar to ?0?
- restart
