Norton 2002 Antivirus

I received a computer that has Norton System works 2002 and it is not allowing me to download any updates (says the subscription has expired) I am trying to install a new copy of Systemworks that i purchased and it still tells me the subscription has expired. I first tried un-installing the version that came on the pc and then installing my copy bit no luck. Any suggestions on how to manipulate the registry to accept it? I am waiting for a call back from Symantec biut I can’t wait anymore.. I need to get the system updated against virus’s. Thanks beforehand.
