Did you run the Windows 7 Upgrade Adviser first?

If you didn't it's quite possible that something related tot he Web Cam like the supplied Software isn't supported by 7.

Web Cam's have two components, the Driver to make it work and the software that enables you to do what you like with it.

Now as it's working with Yahoo the Web Cam obviously works but as you have not installed the Software with it for the Web Cam.

You'll need to visit your NB Makers Web Site and download the Package for the Web Cam which generally contains both the Driver and the Web Cam;s Software.

Did you have camera software to load on XP? If so maybe checking to see if there is software at your camera's manufacturers website that will help.<br>
Going to Windows Update and getting the latest drivers can sometimes help. Look under Hardware, on the left, after choosing Custom at the Windows Update page.
