I tried, many times, to install different Linux distros, in cohabitation with Windows 10, on a Dual boot, without success.

I ran into PCs that would not allow a Linux install. I had to do more research for each case. Examples follow.

      1. The machine was too old and didn’t support booting the usual USB stick. Fix: Installed from a DVD.
      2. The machine was a certain Lenovo that didn’t allow us to disable RAID. This was a dead end and I never heard if Intel and Lenovo fixed it.
      3. Certain Nvidia cards a few years ago required an extra step during install. I had to google what to do for that model.

There are some dozen other reasons for this trouble but outside of the Lenovo the only other problematic Linux install that recurs all too often are CHROMEBOOKS which doesn’t apply here.

Are you able to run Linux booting from a penstick?
This, of course, is assuming that your computer does not fall under the special categories mentioned by rproffitt in the earlier post.

What can I do if I can’t install Linux with Windows 10?
Make sure you have enough space and check storage for errors.
      Create installation media again.
Try booting into Linux from USB/DVD.
      Install VirtualBox.
Try out a powerful in-depth diagnosis tool

      Regards,
      Will
