I am trying to fix a problem with an RM Notebook (CY25). When loading up Windows XP the screen is totally normal – bright and clear. As soon as Windows has loaded, you can see the backlight switch off and the screen goes very dark – you can see the system working normally beneath the gloom of the screen. I have tried to fix the problem by starting up in Safe Mode – in this mode you can see the screen working normally – so I know that there is not a problem with the backlight. I have tried updating the drivers but the computer says that all systems are working normally. This is very frustrating – any guidance would be very much appreciated.
