By nascarazygirl ·
The screen is shattered on my laptop (notebook) nothing wring with general OS. Need to connect to something and view/run back up or data transfer. Can I connect to a netbook and use it as the monitor? If so, what cables support connection....Would like full list of all types... thanks

The essayist thing to do

Would be to plug in an External Monitor like one used for a Desktop System into the VGA/DVI Port on the NB.

Sharing files over a network.

Smeg has the easiest Idea, however there is more than 1 way to skin a cat. By default windows grants you access to files on the same network in a domain environment so.... If you know someone with a network, and they will let you use their computer you could C$ to your pc and get the files. If you know the host name of your computer. Jump on your friends computer after connecting your laptop to their network and type \\enterhostnameofpchere\c$ you might get lucky and get a login msgbox asking for a username \ password. Good luck.

Note* This may not work if you do not have your Hard drive shared.
