Novell DNS with W2K? Is it possible?

By W2K mcse ·
I just promoted our PDC to 2000 hence installing Active Directory in the process. My problem is we are a hybrid shop with NetWare and use Novell for DNS. Active Directory doesn't seem to like using a product other than Microsoft for DNS. Has anyone come across this? If so, did you decommission the Novell DNS server and just use Microsoft. Or is there a way to make it work?

Any advice?
Thanks.

DNS on NetWare 5 and above support Dynamic DNS, so you should be able to do this.

Actually, the only real requirement is that your implementation of DNS support registration of SRV records. If not, then Domain Controller cannot be identified and located--not even by themselves.
