NT as intranet/internet web server

By shahmatd ·
My co has an intranet which is using these three IP addresses 172.16.x.x, 192.168.x.x and 10.1.x.x

There is an NT server which is running as an internet/intranet web server, which has IP aliasing, the primary being 10.1.5.x and secondary being 202.182.216.x

Is there anyway possible to let it use 202.184.216.x as the primary and still be able to ping the internet and intranet?

Place in a DMZ architecture and have the router or firewall route the request for the internal LAN

I'm assuming that the primary IP is the 10.1.5.x, setup in in TCP/IP properties with an appropriate gateway. In order to use the 202.184.216.x address as primary, then you must change the IP settings around to make this one the primary, assign it adefault gateway, and make sure it is on a network segment supporting this IP range.

Hope that helps,
