NT Terminal Server alerter message error
We are running NT Terminal server (sp4) with 10 servers a PDC & BDC. We use thin client dumb terminals for our users with non-static
ip addresses in the clients and a DHCP setup.
The 'Problem/irritation': At the same time per day the PDC & BDC send alerter messages to each of the terminal servers that their logon time is over. This is ok, except that at the same time all users still on the system receive the same message. An excellent way to get users off, but irratating for those who are entering data and have the alert appear in front of them.
Any ideas would be appreciated having looked already at the settings for the alerter service under control panel, server, alerter - only admin staff listed in there!!! Cheers Albs
