I have a small number of machines (50) which connect to a local BDC on a remote site. The site is connected via a dedicated 128kbps leased line. Mysteriously, a workstation will lose it’s domain rights. This has happened at random to most of the workstations so far, and appears to be at startup. To solve the immediate problem, we log into the machine with local admin rights and remove it from the domain and re-attach the machine to the domain.
All of these machines have been locked down andhave their security checked regularly, there is no way that the users have local admin rights to screw our settings.
There are no solutions in Technet on this problem.
