I recently updated several Windows NT 4.0 Workstations via Windows Update. They are all running SP6a now. I also replaced Office 97 with Office XP SP3.
Now those machines are blue screening at random with either IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL or PFN_LIST_CORRUPT. Sometimes they run two or three days before crashing. Sometimes they crash two or three times a day.
I also performed the same updates on several Windows 2K Pro’s and they are working perfectly.
Does anyone have any ideas? I haveheard rumors that Office XP is not compatible with NT4 but Microsoft’s website says otherwise.
