NTVDM.EXE run my CPU to 99%

When I try to install a client for Micros DB on NT Worstation over the network the installation does not proceed because this process NTVDM.EXE run the CPU at 99%.
Can you give me any idea how to run this process with MS DOS shell in a separate memory? or something that would let me to run this instalation. Thank you.
