nuts and bolts

I have used and liked Nuts and Bolts.

I don't recall any updates, or any installation problems.

I would start by seeing if you can boot into safe mode.

Often, when you have a failed software install, booting into safe mode either allows theinstallation to complete, or at least allows you access to add/remove programs so you can un-install it.

When you installed Nut's and Bolts, had you closed ALL other programs?
Includeing all programs in the system tray, and using the task manager (Alt-Ctrl-Del) to find other open programs.
Usually, when a software installation fails, it is because a running program (like a virus scanner) prevents the installer from accessing all of the system files it needs to.

Worst case, boot with a W98 startup disk, and re-install Windows.
Make sure that you use the same folder that Windows is in now.

Is there any special reason or problem that prompted you to buy Nuts and Bolts?
Mainly currious, as it could be a clue as to why the install failed.

Saw the new question, I will not respond to that one to increase the chance that someone else will respond.

What problems did you have?

Where did the re-install fail?

How would you rate your computer skills, so that I can respond appropriately?

Which version of N&B 98 do you have?

Go ahead and reject my answer with your comments, and I will see what I can come up with to assist you further.

Chas
