nvidia graphics drivers so quick to install on Linux compared to windows?

Hi
I’m using Pop OS.. yeah it’s not the greatest distro but I like it. Anyway I just installed the latest Nvidia driver(510) and it downloaded in less than 1 minute.

I’m very confused because on windows it usually takes a good 5 minutes or more especially as they get close to a gb sometimes.

Such things as applications to fine tune performance, or customize settings, are quite common with Windows drivers. Many times the Linux drivers are more basic, and rely on other means to adjust settings.
