office 2000 and windows 2000

on a system running windows 2000 everytime an office 2000 component (word, excle access, …) is opend it closes right away. there is no system crashes. just office 2000 does not run. it does not allowe any office file to be opened. it works ok withoffice 97.

one of the systems is a compaq notebook pentium iii. it is also running project 2000 and pc anywhere among other softwares. i have tried it with and without almost all the software on this system.

the other system is a pentium 4-2gig with 512mb ddr and gigabyte mainboard. it is also running windows 2000 and autocad.
