The shorcut icons on the toolbar of the Excel 2000 does not respond to the click of the mouse.
Also, files opened cannot be saved. Had posted the questions previously but the suggested solution by “daddygirl” did not work.She had suggested to run Detect & repair under the Help Menu.
Also, I had reintalled the office 2000 as well as win 98 OS, but still the problem persists. The PC was infected with funlove.gen virus but it is totally disinfected now and running the latest version of the Mcafee Scanengine and dat-4186. I suspect that the virus might have done the damage. so accordingly I replaced/extracted the riched20.dll file from the c:\windows\system dir.
But does not know which other related files of excel needs to be replaced. Words and Powerpoint etc are working properly. The problem is only in excel.
