Office 2000 (openning Excel files )

When I attempt to open an excel file over the network or locally…..the excel application freeze up….is there any fix for this……I’m running OS win 2000 pro…..and office 2000 SR1. When I try to install service pack 2 for office it
ask for the disk and it looks for datapro1.msi which isn’t on the disk……
