I have been trying to install Office 2003 on an HP laptop that I’ve just bought that came with Vista pre-installed but I’m having problems. My (new) laptop cannot find some files in the CD that my (ancient) desktop (with XP SP2) can.
As soon as I try to begin installation, I get the message ‘setup.ini missing or invalid’ and in fact if I look at that location the folder ‘setup’ is empty – but when I put the CD in my desktop the file is there together with some other files which also do not appear on the Vista machine.
Anyone could help with this please?
