Office 2007 compatibility pack

We installed office 2007 on a machine only to find that it broke a different peice of software.

We then uninstalled Office 2007 and REinstalled Office 2003. After reinstalling Office 2003 we installed the compatibility pack for Office 2007, but we get the error:

‘The converter failed to open the file’

Any clues on this one?

  sounds like 2007 didn’t completely uninstall

  look at this and see if following the steps will help. you may have to reinstall office 2003 when you are done and then reinstall the compatibility pack. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928218/en-us
