I work in an IT department for a county government; we support around 500 desktops. We are ready to deploy Office 2007 throughout all the various departments, and this question was raised: As people open an existing document in a shared (department) directory and then save it in the new 2007 format, how can we keep duplicate copies of files in differant file formats from existing on the same directory?
Is there an application which can convert existing documents into the new file format without simply opening every file in Office?
Any ideas? TIA!
