Office 97 on WXP SP2

I need to load Access 97 on a PC to support a legacy software package. The user just got a new Dell PC with WXP SP2. Office 2003 loaded just fine. When attempting to load Access 97 (I know how to have both running on the same system) I get an error message that it failed to register in the registry. Accroding to the wbesites this is related to a newer version of COMCAT.DLL not registering properly. I follwed the directions to use an older version of this DLL and re-registered it in the systme but this did not work. Are there any known issues with Office 97 working on WXP SP due to how old this is? I have another PC (same type of system) that this failed on as well.
