Office 97 Word SR2 Hangs

Our operating systems is Windows 98 1st Edition I have no reason why but suddenly Word has decided to start hanging and then locks the whole system so that a restart is the only option. As this is intermitent I cannot say it is because we are doinga specific thing.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Word, I have uninstalled and reinstalled Myob but still it hangs. This occurs whether Word is the only application running or if I have others running. Defrag does not help either.

Your assistance would be appreciated as It is driving us insane.
