Office XP and Access2000

I have a client that needs to run Access 2000 and want to use Office XP in all other regards.
I have tried to find a workaround for this problem (to get the 2 versions to work together)
The problem that arises with this versionconflict is that theclient has an Access database that is built in Access-97 and gets run errors when run under AccessXP.

Is there anyone that know how to workaround to run OfficeXP and Access2000 together ?
