For about four months now I’ve been trying to get Offline folders to work on my system. I’ve checked the MS knowledge base and no bug specifically addresses the problem. I suspect a network issue.
Detail Problem:
When I have Offline folders turned on and have one of the files opened (My testing has been with MSword and Pwpoint files) the computer will lock up after attempting to save the file. I’ve tried multiple ways around this and nothing solves the problem. The sequence is very repeatable and always resolts in a unrecoverable lockup. The MS Knowledge Base discusses possible file access rights being in conflict and points to the network configuration as a source of trouble. What should I look for to repair the offline settings in 2k windows
