ok monitor REALLY annoying me

Alright i let it slide for a while but now its just getting annoying and what its doing doesn’t look healthy. I’ll try to describe it the best i can.

When I’m in the log in screen my second monitor is black obviously, but it seems to refresh (flicker) every 2 seconds, and every time it flickers my mouse/keyboard freezes for a few seconds making it annoying to log in.

I use UltraMon as a dual screen manager although i don’t see why it’d be the cause as it hasn’t started yet, and i am using the latest catalyst drivers. Have an x1950 pro second monitor is a ViewSonic A75f, primary is Pro Series PF790.
