We have an OKI Microline 3321 printer here that only prints Near Letter Quality, which is obviously much slower than High Speed, or Super Speed draft. The printer is set up to print SSD in Draft mode and the SSD light is selected in the printer’s front panel. However, when I print from Notepad, it reverts to NLQ. I have set the Printer’s ‘Reset Inhibit’ option to Yes so that the application won’t override the printer settings, but it still seems to. I have tried various drivers with Epson FX, IBM Proprinter III, and Microline emulation modes, all with the same result. I am using non-TrueType fonts eg Courier. Has anyone come accross this most annoying problem?
