Greetings all,
I have an old access database (probably 97) that I want to retrieve data
from. The database is not created by me. I am guessing that it was
built by Windows 98 and Office 97, the version that supports arabic.
I converted the dbs to access 2003 but the Farsi/Arabic records are
illegible (funny characters). I have installed Office 97 but it’s the same
when I open it using access 97.
I am suspecting this is a character-encoding issue. I tried exporting
the data into excel as text and as html and changed the encoding to
various character sets but it didn’t work.
I’ll appreciate any suggestion.
