Old Exchange Server Won’t Go Away

I recently had our only mail server (Exchange 2003) crash. The old HHD was unrecoverable so we loaded a new server up. The new load is Win2k Advanced Server (AD) and Exch 2003. It was loaded once (I wasn’t present for this process so I don’t know the details) and didn’t work, so they did a complete format and reload in which they changed the server name. The problem is, when I go to create new accounts, I still have the option of using the Exch server by the first name. Confusing, I know. Wrap-up: Exchange was loaded twice on the same box, old server name still shows up as a choice when creating new accounts. How do I get rid of the old server. Oh yeah, and I’ve already tried the metadata cleanup using NTDS. Any help would be greatly appriciated.
