Old windows file can it be deleted?

I upgraded to windows 7 and it left a big old windows folder with over a hundred GB of disk space being used I have tried to use a program from the folder it told be that it was not configured correctly I will have to reinstall it so if any one knows could I delete this folder now?

Not sure because we don't know the folder.

I would try renaming it to something else and then reboot. If it works fine try deleting it then. I would also take a copy of the files incase something goes wrong.

Being over 100 GB i think it would be fine to can.

If you installed win 7 on the same drive partition that hosted the previous windows OS; the folder was left behind so you could transfer what ever you wanted out of it. If there is nothing left in the old windows folder you wish to keep; simply delete it. If the above is not what was kept by the win 7 install, more information is needed.
