We are having a recuring issue with Outlook 2007; we configure a new outlook user and we launch Outlook, it begins its configuration, the user id box will flash on the screen and the inbox folder will appear, but you cant interact with it,nor do you get to the Welcome to the 2007 Microsoft Office system; Privacy Opitons screen. Either it will crash and you will get the report the error to Microsoft or you have to end task to quit the program. If you relaunch Outlook it will act as if it is its first time opening.
We have tried recreating, deleting, recreating the mail profile; reapplying the latest SP, complete uninstall and reinstall. Now I know that different versions of Office on the same OS does not play well together but this is our standard desktop image and this issue happens with annoying infrequency.
We use XP SP2 and run Office 2003SP3 with Outlook 2007SP1.
