On board graphics and gpu will not send video signal to monitor

Hello world, I’m having an issue where my monitor is not receiving video signal from my gpu or cpu. Gpu is GTX 1080 made by Zotac and the cpu is a Intel i7-6700k. I’ve tried removing gpu and booting in safe mode with hdmi plugged into the motherboard with no success as well as doing the last but with the gpu plugged in. I read in a couple place that I can remove the cmos battery with all power off and holding power switch down while psu is unplugged to drain all power which should result in the bios being reset although that doesn’t seem to work either and I tried that both with and without the gpu plugged into the computer. Any thoughts or magic to help me out?

or the GPU sends the signal , and you tried in safe mode, I would try a different HDMI cable and a different HDMI connection @ the monitor
