One profile for logon to local or domain

Win2K creates a new profile when logging on to an NT domain. I want to have the same (local) profile be used when that user logs on to the local machine or to the domain. How do I force the domain profile to use the local profile?
I don’t want to store the profiles on the server.
If I set a profile path on the server for the user, can this be a local (to the client) path?
