Open link in New Window won’t work

When I am in IE 5 and I right click on a link then choose Open Link in New Window nothing happens. I have checked my IE properties, security/custom settings, and if I click File / New Window it works.
Can anyone help me on this one?

Try to shift+click on the link and see what happens. That should do the same thing for you. If that doesn’t work, then you might have to re-install IE5.
Go to http://www.hitekind.com
and click on the flash link. If the animation blinks, then IE5 should be reinstalled. Sometimes flash animation blinks when you have a corrupted installation.
If unistalling and reinstalling doesn’t work, then you should reinstall your Operating system.

I have reinstalled IE5, didn’t work. I won’t reinstall windows unless I absolutely have to. Thanks for your help, if you hear anything else – let me know.

You were on the write spot. You have to look
in the “Windows” or “Vews” part of the
program ther should be an option to open you
liks in a new window.
but that variates from version to version.
Which version do you have?

I have Internet Explorer 5 running on a windows 98 system. I can not find the option you wrote of, where is it? I searched Microsofts site and have had no luck.
