OpenGL problem with Creative Riva TNT2

by mics . Updated 25 years, 5 months ago

I have installed new W2K drivers for Creative Riva TNT2 video board (CT6937), which I downloaded from Creative Web site in the end of August. After that, OpenGL is no more working, including even standard OpenGL screensavers (sometimes posting an error, sometimes hanging).

BlasterControl 4.03 says ‘OpenGL is not supported by display adapter’

Before installation of new drivers OpenGL worked fine. It works fine in Windows 98 installed on this computer.

Installation of the previous set ofdrivers (downloaded from Creative in February) does not help, though it worked earlier. Installations of drivers from W2K, drivers from nVidia, from OEM drivers disk do not help as well.

Creative Tech Support says me that my model of video card is OEM version, and drivers for retail versions (which are on their web site) will not work with my card, though there were no such information on download page.

If you need more information about this problem (for example, BlasterControl diagnostics output), please contact me.

Sincerely,
Michael.
