I am trying to load the Oracle 8i Client software on two new Dell Computers running Windows 2000 Professional. After putting the the CD in the reader (the CD is Labeled Oracle8i/Standard Edition

For Microsoft Windows NT/2000)
it autostarts and brings up the first sceen which has among its buttons, one for Install/Deinstall software. I click this one time and the “busy hourglass comes up next to the cursor. It stays there for a short while and then everything stops. System install will go no further. If I open the CD and go into the install folder and start setup from within the directory, I get the exact same thing. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
