Oracle 8i or Oracle 9i Certification

Please advise as I am a MCSE and wishing to take Oracle certification as I quite like to work with systems as well as databases.

Hi Dear
You can do Oracle DBA certiication either on your on behalf or take training bcs the oracle certification wheather it is Oracle Certified Associates (OCA) or Oracle Certified professional (OCP). u need training.

Well you can do practice at www.akadia.com, the complete oracle solutions website or take advantage from oracle authorised center, SQL star international.

8i is dead long live 9i

At some point late this year / early next, the 8i exams will cease (pos. about the time 10i appears).
The basic architecture has not changed in the two versions, but there have been many enhancements. Also the 9i track allows you take just 2 exams and become an OCA. For OCP you need another 2 exams; just as the 8i track. The other major diff. is that there is no programming (PL/SQL) in the 9i track.
