Refresh Rate on your monitor is set too high ...

by OldER Mycroft In reply to Out Of Frequency

Boot into Safe Mode, then adjust the Refresh Rate for your graphics card to the level your monitor can cope with.

Without more info (I don't know what system spec and type of monitor you have) I cannot suggest anything further.

Adjust the Refresh Frequency to 60 HTZ

by OH Smeg Moderator In reply to Out Of Frequency

For a CRT Monitor or lower for a LCD type monitor while in Safe Mode.

After you have done this you can adjust from within the OS if required but taking the refresh rate down to 60 HTZ will allow you to boot the system up.

If you adjust the Frequency too high in the OS all you need do is not accept the change and the system will reverie to the original Display Proprieties in a short time.
