Out of memory Outlook 2002.

By Rejvarn ·
I have a colleague that has a problem when trying to print a mail from his outlook 2002.
He gets the error " out of memory or system resources ". He has no other applications running and a reboot doesn't help either.

He uses W2000 with 256kRAM.
The printer is a HP laserjet 2100TN and noone else has the same problem.

Go to Tools > Options > Other > Advanced Options > Add-in. Remove or deselect any add-ins including Win Fax Pro.
NAV has sometimes been blamed as has the use of Word as an e-mail editor.

this gleaned from www.hp.com laserjet 2100tn crash: ('t-shoot' Memory Out error on 2100tn)
1) get properties of printer, select Finishing/Print Quality/Faster Printing
2)try lower resolution: Properties/Print Quality/Details/Output Settings/select600 dpi
3)check driver type, if PCL6 and those whose printing works have PCL5e driver, switch.
4)Use Configure tab to get driver to use more memory: (must match amount actually installed on printer, compare to those who work and/or get self-test page from printer to see how much memory)
