Outbound Mail Failure

By alfredl ·
With the following message "A mail message was not sent because the maximum time for delivery has expired", where in Exchange 5.0 do I look to solve this blockup?

Not sure of where exactly in E5.0 will u get this, but looking at Exchange2K, i would suggest, you find properties' page of ur Virtual SMTP Server, find settings for 'Outbuond Messages', and thre u shd get something called as 'Expiration Timeout'.
Best of luck.

Outbound Mail Failure

Is this for one message or all? If its just one then the sender has typed the wrong address. If its all outbound messages then your server is not connecting to the internet properly. You'll need to check the settings under Internet Mail Service.
Also make sure all your services are running properly.
