Why is it that when you create a new email message and click on the "To" button to access your contacts, that some of the contacts don't appear there, but yet they are in your contact list when you click on "contacts"? Aren't they the same? Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced that as well.

It could be that it is looking at another contacts list other than you local one. There is a drop down list labeled "Show names from the:" This might be global or something else. If you change it to "Contacts", you will see everything in your local contacts list.

hope this helps

You could have two separate contacts. I ran into the same similar problem, where the mail was delivered to a personal folder, and the user was storing his contacts in this list, then we changed the delivery of mail to an exchange server, moved the contact list to the new exchange profile, but when the user updated his contact list he updated the wrong one (on the old personal folder profile), so everytime this person accessed his contacts he was looking at the exchange contact list and that wasnot updated. Hoped this helped you a little bit.
