Outlook 2000 and Microsoft Mail

By Mr_Fixit ·
Our systems are currently configured with two accounts. One is for accessing our Internal Microsoft Mail server (Not my choics!). The other is for our Internet Linux mail server.

I have created an Address Book that contains all of our employees and placed it on the network. I have then pointed a new Data File to this Address Book so they have access to the list. I then removed Microsoft Mail fromt he clients and changed their Address Book settings to look in the new Address Book first.
What I am having a problem with is when you type in a name in a new message, it is SOMETIMES coming up with the old Internal (Microsoft Mail) address. This is daunting because that is no longer in the system. How do I resolve this?

Check the configuration on the clients that are having this problem. In the Properties dialog of the Microsoft Mail service, look at the LAN Configuration tab. Make sure that Use Local Copy is _not_ checked.
