Outlook 2000 Contact Display Name

By rbarton ·
Has anybody found a way to have the SMTP display name include a Contacts title (i.e. Mr., Hon., etc.)? I have a user who has Contacts with and without the title included in the SMTP Display Name and we assume the users with were imported from an older version of Outlook or Eudora. Any ideas?

Go to the contacts folder in Outlook 2000 and open the contact by doubling clicking on it. Click on the 'ALL FIELDS" tab at the top of the contact page. Use the drop down box to select 'ALL POST FIELDS'. Scroll down to the bottom of the list and your will see the name of the contact in a row called 'SUBJECT'. Put Mr. / MS. / Mrs. in front of the name of the contact on the subject-row and press 'SAVE AND CLOSE'. From then on the name on the outgoing mail will look the way you want.

Good Luck,
Erwin
